Aim: Antibacterial assay three whole plant ethanolic extracts against two cariogenic bacteria to find out extract which could used as therapeutically effective method dental caries its factor. Materials Methods: Antimicrobial activity 1000 μg/ml, 750 500 μg/ml 250 μg /ml concentration Amaranthus viridis (A1), Aerva sanguinolanta (A2), Cynodon dactylon (A3) were measured agar disc diffusion broth microdilution Streptococcus mutans, Lactobacillus acidophilus, 5% DMSO (negative control) 30% Vancomycin (positive control). Result: The (100%), (A2) showed greatest inhibition zone (mean-11.860 mm) mutans (mean= 9.730 acidophillus more than negative control but less positive control. exhibited lowest MIC 0.02050 respectively. Conclusion: sanguinolenta inhibit growth bacteria, thereby for in human being. Keywords:Antibacterial assay, Cariogenic Plant extractsView:PDF (3.36 MB)
